Clients' Rights & Responsiblities

At Prowess Financial Services, we value the time and effort we put in our clients' matters. To maintain a professional environment and provide our clients with most up-to-date and accurate information, we ask that our clients uphold these responsibilities as we provide you these rights.

Client Rights

  1. You have the right to professional service - from your consultant and all other associates of our firm. You have the right to be treated with due respect and in a courteous manner from staff who are competent.

  2. You have the right to work with trustworthy staff who is professionally sound and personally dedicated to your business needs on a regular basis. You may request information about your consultant’s history and background.

  3. You have the right to open and consistent communication and to have information presented in clear and understandable terms. 

  4. You have the right to your data. As the owner of your company’s records and should be able to access that data at any time, whether or not we are available to assist you. 

  5. You have the right to reasonable customizations of project plans based on your individual needs and objectives. 

  6. You have the right to reasonable expectations of project completions while understanding that many unforeseen factors may affect those expectations. 

  7. You have the right to have any errors corrected and complaints addressed in a timely manner. If a problem is not resolved to your satisfaction, please contact the owner of Prowess to discuss resolutions.

  8. You have the right to know all costs associated with our services based on individual needs and objectives. 

  9. You have the right to confidentiality. Prowess is committed to the full protection of your personal and business information. We do not sell your information to anyone. Prowess will not share any financial information EXCEPT by your clear and concise request or permission. Prowess only provides information to external organizations as required by law. 

  10. You have the right to discontinue services with Prowess at any time you choose. Please allow fifteen(15) days to relinquish primary access to all software and apps over to you.

Client Responsibilities

  1. You have the responsibility to share your business objectives, needs, and financial situation and personal circumstances (as deemed appropriate for recommendations). This includes responding in a timely manner to all correspondences and requests from Prowess.  

  2. You have the responsibility to make time to meet (virtually or in person) with your consultant on a regular basis to review and revise your company’s financial status and business plans as needed. Time intervals for each meeting Meeting frequency will be outlined in your client engagement letter as agreed upon by you and your Prowess consultant. 

  3. You have the responsibility to maintain accessible records of your financial data and business continuity plans. We recommend you prepare and maintain annual legal business planning and continuation documents. 

  4. You have the responsibility to protect your confidential business information, including but not limited to: financial statements, login names, account passwords, etc. in order to ensure the security of your financial and personal data. Prowess will never ask you for passwords that may provide access to your funds. 

  5. You have the responsibility to review all statements, reports, and correspondence in their entirety. You should ensure that you understand the documents and/or information provided and report any potential errors to our team.

  6. You have the responsibility to seek clarification prior to making a decision. Prowess only offers a team of accountants, bookkeepers and tax professionals. Follow up and seek the appropriate advice from the proper persons. 

  7. You have the responsibility to make timely payments for Prowess Financial Services. A deposit will be required. All payments on fixed rate contracts are due in advance. All other invoices are due within thirty days of completion. A $50.00 service fee will be assessed for all returned checks. 

  8. You have the responsibility to be considerate of our time. We require forty-eight hour notice of cancellation of any scheduled appointment. Please keep in mind Prowess business hours of Monday through Friday from 10:00AM to 6:00PM. Cancellations within twenty-four hours will result in a cancellation charge of $75.00. We respectfully ask that you bring your undivided attention to all appointments. 

  9. You have the responsibility to not disclose Prowess personal or business contact information without prior discussion with us. We will not discuss any business matters with vendors, customers, or employees other than outlined in your client engagement. Prowess should not be named for any payments due to vendors, employees, or contractors. Prowess Financial Services contact information can be given to third parties for business referral purposes only. 

  10. You have the responsibility to provide true, accurate, and complete information to the best of your knowledge. Prowess Financial Information will not be responsible for any legal or criminal action brought upon you or your business for false, incomplete, or misleading information.
